One morning after a while stuck at home and unable to go to commercial gyms, Mr CJ "Ferral" himself decided to setup his own personal training space. When seeing the lack of options available a lightbulb suddenly went off in his head and he started thinking of ways in which he could fix that.

You see, CJ was into sports from the moment his parents got him his first football. His family was not only into sports but have also worked in physically demanding areas such as horse training, laying rail tracks, car repairs, security, police and even the military. It was in his blood!
He had never set foot on a gym until he started training martial arts in a local gym’s studio. A friend invited him to try lifting some weights and he decided to give it a go.

Back then, CJ just wanted to increase his performances in martial arts and other sports, but once he tried it for the first time two things happened: he realised he had a knack for it and he never stopped training. Over the years he stopped training martial arts regularly but never stopped lifting, moving from basic training to powerlifting and trying different styles and techniques along the way.

Although his education took him in a different direction, CJ never stopped living in the fitness world. It was not rare to see him helping out students and co-workers with training tips. Such was his passion for fitness that he even coached others in his own time and ran some gym classes for free. Some of his trainees have become serious lifters and even personal trainers themselves.

While he had a sense of curiosity that served him well in his professional career, it also helped him learn different training techniques, gain experience, and, gather information on all things fitness related. This experience led him to discuss the possibility of one day starting his own fitness brand.

After studying and working in different industries and countries, CJ realised he had enough experience to successfully run his own business and one day while having a chat with a friend, he decided to go ahead and make it a reality. Being busy at work meant that the business was not a priority until he left his job.

That business was more broad and without a clear focus but as chance would have it, the situation around the globe forced CJ to have to concentrate on the business. With more time on his hands and now looking into setting up his own garage gym, the original idea started taking shape and the Ferral brand was born.

Being a natural problem-solver, CJ quickly identified that better options at more reasonable prices was needed, that local gyms could offer more and that home gyms could put commercial gyms to shame at a fraction of what most assumed it would cost. CJ started selling first to friends, then moving to online marketplaces and eventually creating Ferral’s website. Many found out about Ferral through word of mouth, due to the personal connection developed with his customers.

Through research and while setting up his own space, it became clear what pieces of equipment were most useful and what was really needed to get you going depending on your preferences. Above all, CJ thought: “Why didn’t I do this sooner? Can’t believe I have gone all these years without my own training space”.

It was in that spirit that CJ decided to create Ferral. High quality products for reasonable prices, allowing access to heavy duty elite equipment to enthusiasts and beginners alike.
